WAHL advises Algebra University on the merger with Bernays University of applied sciences
WAHL’s Corporate Law and M&A team provided legal support to Algebra University in connection with its strategic merger with Edward Bernays University, resulting in the establishment of Algebra Bernays University, the largest private university in Croatia.
Algebra is a leading private educational institution with more than 2,100 enrolled students and over 15,000 annual participants across its programmes. Bernays, founded in 2013, is recognised for the quality of its programmes in the fields of communications and business.
This merger represents an important step in the consolidation of high-quality private higher education in Croatia, bringing together two well-established institutions, expanding their academic offering, and creating new opportunities, particularly in postgraduate and interdisciplinary studies.
Algebra was advised on financial matters by Grubišić Krešić Corporate Finance, led by Andrej Grubišić and Ivan Rajevac; on tax matters by Forvis Mazars, led by Pero Mioč; and on accounting matters by Interexpert-Zagreb, led by Ivana Karlović.
