Ivan Modrić
Ivan Modrić joined our law firm in September2025, after graduating summa cum laude from the Faculty of Law at the University of Zagreb. His thesis focused on the topic of aircraft leasing, reflecting his interest in specialized areas of commercial law and aviation law.
During his studies, he worked as a student assistant at the Department of Criminal Procedural Law and the Department of Economic Sciences. His dedication and commitment were recognized with the Dean’s and Rector’s Awards, as well as a Dean’s Award for the best academic achievement in the third and fourth year of his studies. For three consecutive years, Ivan was awarded the Zlatko Crnić Foundation Scholarship, which recognizes the most outstanding law students from Croatian universities based on their academic achievements.
Ivan was actively involved in student life – he served as President of the European Law Students’ Association (ELSA Zagreb),was a member of the editorial board of the student journal Vox Studentium, and represented the faculty at the XVIII Regional Moot Court Competition before the European Court of Human Rights.
As part of the ERASMUS+ program, he spent a semester at Koç University in Istanbul, one of Turkey’s leading universities, where he successfully completed courses in commercial and criminal law and gained basic knowledge of the Turkish language.
In addition to basic Turkish and German, Ivan is fluent in English.
He approaches his work with care and adaptability, and his openness to new challenges and diverse topics makes him a valuable member of the WAHL team.
